RE: PETITION FOR THE USE OF SOCIAL SHOCK AS AN EXCEPTION FOR THE BENEFIT OF AGRICULTURAL LABOURERS.
Given that the National Government to deal with the crisis economic, granted for the year 2009, the Employment Fund, the Region of Sicily, at variance with the current regulations, substantial financial resources to be used for social safety nets in derogation
Given that these resources can be used for all categories, except for that of farm laborers since, the rule provides the framework requirements that do not take into account the specificity of that category (the standard expected to be right in form but in substance the rule);
Noting that this , does not activate the category for the laborers so-called "confirmation", namely the recognition of the same days last year, from the point of view that welfare relief, at least 4,000 agricultural workers in the province of Catania;
That said and considered, the undersigned trade union leaders and farm laborers in getting the institutions to review the address on social safety nets under a waiver, in the direction to provide for the right to 'profound sources of social safety nets in derogation, even for the category of agricultural laborers.
